- Why did you start to do Pilates?
- I heard and read that Pilates would be very good against back pain and a good training for people with posture problems.
- How did you hear about the PW studio?
- My wife started with lessons at PW and was very happy with it so she brought me along.
- Do you remember what your first impressions of a Pilates class were?
- I liked the exercises but thought I could never do them in the correct way. Partially because I was very afraid to move my body (back pain history) and partially because I had to use muscles which I could not find in my body.
- What kind of effect do the Pilates exercises have on you?
- They help a lot to strenghten my stomach muscles and to keep control on my body. I still have on and off back problems (they started very heavily 5 years ago) but it takes me much less time to recover. With the help of the Pilates exercises I regained a lot of confidence in my body and live a quite normal life again!
- What is your favourite exercise (and why)?
- The Teaser. It gives great great satisfaction when you're able to do it, specially because at the beginning I thought that it was impossible to do. The other nice thing with the teaser is that there are plenty of variations, so it never gets boring.
- How many times per week do you work out?
- I take a private lesson once a week.
- Do you do Pilates at home every now and then?
- Yes I do....every morning for the past 2 years I exercise for 20 minutes at home.
